WEEK 1//JULY 8 - 12

EARTH​

This camp is all about laying the groundwork for all things … Specifically, on the farm that’s the soil; with art, we will use earth based paints and brushes; in the woods, we will go tracking! This is a fantastic first camp of the series but can stand alone keeping kids engaged, thinking, and inspired to consider the value of a rich environment.

WEEK 2 //JULY 15 - 19

WATER

We simply cannot have a summer camp without WATER, right? Given that it is an essential component in getting our seeds and plants to grow, we will learn all about irrigation and have fun with water all week! In the woods, we will get into the creek and learn all about bridges and dams. Plus, who can resist watercolors?

  • Farm: irrigation

  • Art: watercolor painting

  • Forest: dams and bridges

  • Sports: water games!

  • Special Visitors:  Xplore USA with students from Spain, Germany, Italy, and China!

  • Field Trip: Jonesboro Water Park

WEEK 3//JULY 22 - 26

HARVEST

Time to gather the bounty! We will be harvesting blueberries, tomatoes, beans, herbs and more and heading to the Market! In the art department we will get cooking with the culinary arts and in the woods, we will harvest wilds foods and learn about plant and tree identification. And what a feast it will be!!

  • Forest: mushroom hunt!

  • Sports: soccer

  • Special Visitors:  Xplore USA with students from Spain, Germany, Italy, and China!

  • Field Trip: local farm TBA

ABOUT OUR CAMPS

RATES, SPECIALS, & DISCOUNTS

To help broaden the experience

  • Each camp at WBNS has a farm, art, forest, and sports component designed into each theme week.
     

  • The camps in this series blend nicely into one another, but can certainly stand alone as a full week experience.
     

  • Camps are 9am—3pm Monday—Friday.
     

  • We may take a Field Trip or have a special activity to accompany the weeks’ theme. 
     

  • We host 1-2 Community Visitors each week who bring the outer world and deeper knowledge to us.
     

  • We have a shuttle van available for $25 per week / per rider from three different pick-up locations:  Hot Springs, Marshall, Weaverville  *Must meet a rider minimum 
     

  • Campers bring their own healthy packed lunch. We provide all snacks and filtered water to refill water bottles every day.  

All Camps: $199 per week/per camper

Ages Groups: 5-7 and 8-11

Early-bird Specials:

· $45 discount per camp prepaid by March 1st

· $35 discount per camp prepaid by April 1st

· $25 discount per camp prepaid by May 1st
