Hello families!
We have certainly had a very busy week!
This week in word work we have been learning about some different spelling rules for verb tense. We used ten verbs and made a chart showing the ed and ING suffixes to show past and present tense. We used the words in sentences to show meaning in a real way.
This week in math, our new unit was measurement. We learned about meters and centimeters. We did real measuring and estimating. We learned about abbreviations for these two units of measurement, and the importance of naming the measurement used. We can't just say our desk is 20! We need to say the desk is 20cm wide. The other vocabulary besides abbreviation, meter, centimeter, and unit included length, width, and height.
