Education & Experience:

•Bachelors Degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Management from WCU. •third year with WBNS •Biologist with Blue Ridge Bird Observatory where we educate the public on the importance of bird research and conduct bird banding in the surrounding WNC area!

I believe that allowing children to learn in a natural setting enables them to develop crucial problem solving and emotional skills that a standard learning environment cannot provide. I have a passion for educating others on the importance of protecting our natural world, and I feel that teaching empathy and respect through nature creates a unique learning environment. Teaching a new generation to value our landscapes and fellow living beings is what I am most excited about here at Woodson Branch!

Favorite thing about working at MCCLC:

I am truly in love with this community. In all its "realness", with our differences, our creativity, our bold bravery, and our commitment to children, I am continually amazed, inspired, and energized by this project and the people who fuel it.
