Office Team and Classroom Support

Education & Experience:

I grew up in Montessori education and attended a Montessori School from 1st through 12th grade, which really shaped how I see children and learning. I graduated with honors and have spent many years working with kids in different settings. I was a camp counselor for several summers, where I planned activities, worked with mixed-age groups, and supported kids through friendships and everyday challenges. I've also been a substitute teacher here at Woodson Branch, which I truly love. For two years in a row, I attended an invite only STEM program hosted by St. John's University in Queens as well as received a 4-H scholarship to attend a summer intensive program at Cornell University. I’m CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.

Teaching Philosophy:

I believe kids learn best by doing! My Montessori background taught me to trust children’s natural curiosity and independence, while also being there to guide and support them. I try to create an environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves, taking risks, and growing through real experiences.

Favorite thing about kids:

I love how genuine kids are. They’re curious, funny, say exactly what they’re thinking, and are unashamedly themselves. They make every day different and always keep things interesting.

Favorite thing about working at MCCLC / WBNS:

I love being part of a community that feels so connected to nature, to its members, and to the children. Getting to spend my days outside, and being part of growth is something really special and not something I take for granted.
